The whole knife is a bit larger than the usual butter knife, which I appreciated when digging down into jars of mayonnaise and peanut butter. It also has the standard serrated edge so you can cut off a pat of butter as usual, or use it to cut your PB&J sandwich in half.While I’m pretty sure it’s not actually made of gold, they are definitely built sturdily. The metal does not have any flex to it, so you can put pressure on it without worrying about it bending, but it still has a decent heft to it. The gold color is pleasing to my eye, and sets them apart from your other butter knives, making them easier to find. I like using these knives and they clean up easily in the dishwasher with the rest of my silverware. These handy tools have earned their place in my kitchen drawer.
