These are truly beautiful spreaders that make the mundane task of spreading butter, cream cheese, or jam feel like a small luxury. The wood is gorgeous – smooth and polished, not lacquered. I wouldn’t put them in the dishwasher, but they clean up very easily. The shape feels great in the hand and works really well for spreading – much better than my old metal ones with the straight blade. These would be great as stocking stuffers, added to a gift basket, or tied onto a jar of fruit spread as a host or hostess gift.
