– The Leak Free Stand to Pee Device

I’ve tried multiple stp devices over the years including go-girl, shewee, whiz freedom, hollow packer/stp combos, and some diy ones I’ve made myself. My biggest complaint with most of these is the tendency to have backflow, and having to be conscious about your stream. There’s nothing worse than holding it in and literally shaking from having to control the stream, or god forbid pissing your pants. Because of this, I’ve never felt comfortable peeing in any bathroom outside of my own. Not to mention that most of these other stp devices are large and bulky, making packing with them very uncomfortable.I saw this product and was hesitant on trying it because the end that holds on to your parts looks VERY small. My initial thought was “I’m gonna piss myself if I use this. There’s literally no way this can handle a steady or urgent stream.” But when I read that it relies on suction and that they were making this for pilots, I started thinking this might be worth a shot.I used this for the first time after a long distance run when I REALLY needed to pee (I would NOT recommend doing that, ESPECIALLY if you’re new to stp’s, but wanted to give a complete picture on my first experience). The directions were a little hard to understand, but I understood them much better after refreshing myself with a couple of google anatomy diagrams. The opening that attaches to you needs to suction up against your urethra so it’s really important to find that area before you let loose.After assuming I had it suctioned to the right area I took the directions advice and let a little bit loose. It was SO smooth. It felt so natural like it was coming directly out of me as opposed to feeling like you’re peeing into a funnel that’s filling up and then coming out more slowly (which is where backflow becomes an issue). I decided to completely let loose to see what would happen if I used it at max bladder capacity. It. Was. PERFECT. No leaks, no backflow, no weird sensation that it was moving or getting unsuctioned, and no need to wipe afterwards. I have never used an stp device that’s worked so naturally.If I had to dig and come up with a couple of cons, one would be that because of the suctioning, there’s a little bit of urine that gets temporary stuck in the tubing when you’re finished. This would be this products version of backflow. You just need to make sure and unsuction it and point it down to make the rest come out before you put it back in your pants. It’s a very small amount, and most stps have some sort of similar issue so I wouldn’t take this as a major con- I’m really just nitpicking.The only other con I can think of is the stance that you have to be in to make it work most efficiently. Most cismen stand with their legs apart at the urinal and this product needs you to stand with your legs closer together. I’ve found that I don’t need to actually stand super straight with my thighs touching if I’m holding the product myself, but just another thing to be conscious of. If anyone is getting concerned with looking “unmanly” because of your stance- remember that anyone who’s staring that long is a creep and shouldn’t be a factor in you making this decision.I would highly recommend this product to anyone who hasn’t had success with other stp devices. This is truly a game changer because it’s relying on suction as opposed to a funnel. I’m so excited to buy my next packer so I can start packing all the time with this.I will update this review in the future when I use this with a packer, and in a public restroom.
