I really like this AMZTKDIY 1.3 Gallon Camping Shower, but it took some fiddling and troubleshooting to get it to pressurize. Instructions and a troubleshooting guide would have been immensely helpful. The unit comes fully assembled along with a bag of “extra” fittings, but upon my first try I realized that it wasn’t holding pressure so I needed to crack open the “extras” to get it to seal up. My culprit was the top black collar where it meets up with the white tank, there wasn’t a gasket in there as assembled from the factory. So using the one in the pack, I was able to get it to seal up and hold pressure. So a bit fiddly at first, but I would imagine a lot of folks who would be using this to camp with are familiar with a fair bit of fiddling with gear like we are. I’d be giving this three stars as adequate if it weren’t for how well this thing performs! So on to that: I can get really good pressure for a thorough shower including rinsing long hair! Way, way better than a gravity camp shower bag, but also much better than the rechargeable battery shower that we have. A for the pressure and usability! Also, I like just the manual trigger-squeeze for on and off. No fumbling with little buttons with soapy fingers to take a “Navy shower”! The sprayer can be set mechanically to stay on if you do want to have it spray constantly, as well. I’m honestly shocked at the heat retention. The neoprene sleeve is like a giant can koozie and somehow works super well. My unscientific heat retention test: I used an immersion heater to warm up the full tank (with the black top portion completely removed to fit my heater) and then pumped it up and tested the sprayer settings over the course of probably 5 minutes. Set it aside to do some other tasks and tried it again in about a half hour – still warm! I then went out running some errands, came home then tried the water temp again (a good hour later) and it was still above room temperature! Not as warm as initially, of course, but impressive nonetheless. I’m also impressed with the function on the spray intake tube, it goes all the way to the bottom and uses up all but a tiny puddle of the water. If I’m hauling and heating water when I’m camping, I want to be able to use it all, so this is great! I had a hard time rating this since the it required the fiddling out of the box, but the functionality is great! 4 stars as an average between 3 and 5
