I read somewhere that, when sizing foam tips, one should go up a size from your usual size in silicone tips. So I took off my medium silicone tips, and slipped the LARGE New Bee foams onto the in-ear-monitors. At first, I thought they were to big for my ear canals. But then, as if they were alive and took a breath, they seemed to expand to seal any gaps between the foam and my ear canal. They didn’t feel “too big,” but “just right.” They completely filled the promise of being noise-cancelling. No rustling sound even though I happened to have a fan blowing in my direction. And for a minute, while the music drifted in my ears, I forgot I was wearing IEMs; that’s how comfortably the New Bees fit.They’re more supple than Comply foams. They just feel different. Better. And the quality of the music seems as good, if not better, than the Comply foams. I chanced upon the New Bee foams because I wanted a case to keep my tips in. I recommend trying them out.
